Freeport is located on the south shore of Grand Bahama Island. The cruise port is
near an industrial port complex which includes drydocking facilities. You must take
a taxi or other ground transportation to reach any of the local tourist destinations.
Freeport is trying hard to attract more cruise ships. The Bahamas has
beautiful beaches, and Grand Bahama is no exception. This cruise stop has lots of
potential.
