This is a map of the Chesapeake Bay and Patapsco River near
Baltimore, MD. I've added the waypoint coordinates recorded with a Garmin
GPS receiver on my cruise in 2005 as Grandeur of the Seas made her way back
home to Baltimore. The points displayed here begin near the entrance to the
bay, and entail about the last 10 hours of the cruise. You
can zoom out or pan all the way down the bay to see her path home. Last
year, Grandeur sailed from the Dundalk Marine Terminal, so that is where the
plot ends. If you look closely, you will see where the ship stopped and
swung around to actually back up the channel to dock!
added markers for three parks that provide an excellent view for watching the
Grandeur sail away in the afternoons when she leaves for her next cruise.
Also labeled in the upper left hand corner, is the Locust Point Cruise
Terminal, which is the Baltimore Cruise Port Terminal from which Grandeur is
sailing this summer.
