One of the best ways to quickly become familiar with some of the hidden
gems of historic Fredericksburg, Virginia, is to take the Trolley! Even though
I've lived in Fredericksburg for many more years than I care to admit (first
moved here to start my Freshman year at what was then Mary Washington College,
decided to stick around) the Trolley is always a source of new information.
I've taken the Trolley tour at least three times since I've lived here, most recently
on August 23, 2008. This last time, I went high tech, bringing along my trusty Garmin
C76x to record the route. As a resident, I often see the trolley around town, and
have wondered about the route they take. Now I know, and so do you!
I've also included a few markers showing some local tourist highlights. It would be
impossible to include everything you might want to see, so if you plan a visit, I
suggest you start at the Visitor Center, and get much more information there.
